What is Veterinary Physical Rehabilitation?
Veterinary Physical Rehabilitation involves the assessment and treatment of dysfunction in the musculoskeletal system and/or neurological conditions in animals.
It combines movement analysis with knowledge of the anatomy of the neuro-muscular system in order to identify potential problems, maintain optimal function and/or prevent dysfunction.
The importance of rehabilitation lies in the simple fact that patients that under go surgery, such as fractures, ligament ruptures, or neurological conditions, they have changes to their cartilage, bone, muscles, ligaments and tendons.
